First off is confusion about Addison’s name

Addison’s full name is Addison Rae Sterling and fans who have been following the family for a while have noticed that her last name is different to her father and two younger brothers. Her father’s name is Monty Lopez, and her brothers go by Lopez, so some people have questioned if Monty is Addison’s Rae’s biological father.

Nobody in the family has commented on the difference but it likely has something to do with when Addison was born. It is speculated that Monty and Sheri got married after they had her. This theory is supported by a video Monty has posted on his Instagram account which shows photos of him and Sheri when they were young, followed by a photo with Addison as a baby, a wedding and then the brothers. The photos appear to be in chronological order which could explain why Addison has taken her mother’s surname instead of her father.

Next up, Addison’s famous friends

Fans probably are aware that Addison Rae has a few well-known friends, but she actually has a lot of famous friends. She is 20 years old and her friends are all different ages. She hangs out with the Vlog Squad, a collective group of vloggers who are featured in the vlogger David Dobrik’s main vlog as a recurring group of friends.

Other friends include James Charles, Jason Derulo, Kourtney Kardashian, and Karlie Kloss. There are more but this girl is a star in her own right and has a seriously cool group of friends.

Next, her hometown

Addison is from Lafayette, Louisiana and only moved to Los Angles last December after she saw the opportunities that came with her TikTok career.

This may surprise a lot of people. She had a very different career goal

Addison Rae was studying at Louisiana State University to become a journalist or sports broadcaster before she met the group from the Hype House, a group of TikTok personalities, and moved to Los Angeles. In an interview with Forbes magazine "I did go to college for about three months. That was a really fun and exciting time. My focus for college was broadcasting and TV commercial work.  Because of TikTok and moving to Los Angeles, I have been able to do the things I have always dreamed of such as being on ESPN and working with brands.”

It looks like social media and acting was her calling, as she has found success in it, but she says she would still like to go down the presenting route in the future.

A year of TikTok

Addison has done and achieved a lot already, so this is hard to believe but she has not been on TikTok for that long. Addison only joined the app in July last year and she has 71.9 million followers and 4.5 billion likes now. This is proof that TikTok can make people famous overnight.

Welcome back Justice Crew!

Photo credit to @Justicecrewofficial Instagram Justice Crew are a dance and music group who won Australia's Got Talent in 2010 and went on to release many amazing songs including number one hits Boom Boom and Que Sera . After their tour in 2019, they took a long break and now they are back!  I have been a huge fan of them since the beginning and have been to a lot of their shows, so when they announced they were performing a show in February, of course I was excited and attended with my friend. There was a huge crowd there to see them, which surprised a few people, including maybe the guys themselves. After six years, they probably felt rusty, but they were actually amazing as always. It was so cool to see them on stage again and here all the hit songs the number ones and  Everybody. It's so crazy how even now, after six year...

Light in the Darkness

We all carry a little darkness. Moments we don’t speak of. Storms We face. Shadows we walk through quietly.   But that doesn’t mean our light is gone.   Even on heavy days, when it feels like someone has punched us in the chest, or everything feels hopeless. We work. We care. We laugh. We create. We shine, like the brightest star in the sky.   No matter what happens today – even if it’s messy, or lonely, or full of tears - The sun will rise in the morning. Like it always does. Like we always do.   Because light doesn’t have to shout. Sometimes it just keeps showing up, quietly. One bright beam at a time.

Virtual Stop #1: Lymington - A Seaside Gem Discovered by Chance

Welcome to my virtual travel series, where I explore beautiful corners of the world without leaving my bed. Inspired by TikTok livestreamers and walking tour videos, these posts capture what I see, feel and learn as I journey through new places from afar.  I wasn't planning to visit Lymington - not virtually, not in any way. I had never heard of it before watching my favorite singing buskers livestream from the quaint little town in the UK and now I'm captivated. The charm of Lymington unfolded before my eyes: Cobbled pathways, rows of boats bobbing gently at the marina and friendly locals to stop and enjoy the music. I experienced it from my bed.  There is something so welcoming about the town, The people passing by weren't just polite - they were supportive. Some clapped, others left kind words or a few coins, and a few even stayed for songs. There are three ladies who go often to support the guys. They have all been following them on TikTok for a while and met each other...
