It is really important to have a good morning routine and in this post, I am sharing some morning habits that will help you be more healthy and productive.
1. Don't jump out of bed too fast.
When you wake up, just lay down or sit on your bed and take a few breaths before you get up and start getting ready. This will prevent dizziness which could occur and give you time to fully wake up.
2. Prepare the night before.
If you have school, work or any appointments in the morning, picking your outfit and packing your bag the night before will give you more time.
3. Stretch
Stretching in the morning puts you in a relaxed state. If you like exercising in the morning, do it and then stretch afterwards.
4. Hydrate
When you first wake up you will be dehydrated so drink a glass of water. Drink it before your coffee because coffee can dehydrate you further. If you don't like the taste of plain water, you can make it better by adding lemon which is actually really good for you.
5. Write a to-do list and set goals for the day.
Write down everything you need to do and priorities them. Try to do 1-3 really important things each day because it's better to concentrate and do 1-3 things really well than rush through a lot of things.
6. Priorities self-care
Make time to take care of yourself. and do something you enjoy. Brush and style your hair, give yourself a facial, read a book, This is really important for your health.
7. Have a good breakfast.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you should eat a healthy one. Of course it's fine to treat yourself with something sweet, like sugary cereal, but eat something that will give you the energy you need to get through the day.
8. Stay off social media.
This can be hard. Sometimes we go on to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to check one thing and end up scrolling for a long time. While you're getting ready, put your phone on 'do no disturb' or airplane mode so you are not distracted. This way, you can get ready faster. Be present and really enjoy your breakfast. Instead of looking at social media, use the time to talk to your family members and roommates and greet your pets.
