YouTube Favorites

Hello!

I am back with another 'YouTube Favorites' post where I am sharing some of my favorite YouTube channels and videos I have enjoyed watching.

1. Kaleb Dahlgren is an athlete and public speaker from Canada. This video was taken at an event in 2019 where Kaleb spoke about his life, perseverance and resilience. It was very interesting and he gave some really good advice that everyone can use. Watching and hearing him speak in presentations like this and interviews has helped a lot of people, including me. I don't really know Kaleb but I can tell he is a kind-hearted, humble person who is a role model and has done and will continue to do amazing things in life. Kaleb is the type of person everyone would want in their corner. He is a great speaker and teaches us really useful lessons like how to overcome adversity and have a positive attitude. I highly recommend watching this.

2. Over the last few months, there have been many virtual reunions with cast members from movies and television shows. Just yesterday, I watched the Legally Blonde reunion. Legally blonde premiered in 2001 and the star Reese Witherspoon and her fellow cast members shared their memories and favorite moments from the movie and behind-the-scenes and talked about how it inspired young girls and young people in general.

3. Rosie McClelland is a 14-year-old British singer and influencer who rose to fame after a video of her dancing and singing with her cousin Sophia Grace went viral and they appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show. Since then, Rosie has won a Teen Choice award, appeared in a Nickelodeon TV show, starred in a movie and released songs. I have been a fan since seeing her on Ellen and enjoy watching the lifestyle videos on her channel.

4. Presenter and content creator Ella Victoria posts really good lifestyle videos on her channel. There are de-cluttering, morning and night routines, food and other lifestyle videos, as well as weekend and event vlogs. I love how open and honest Ella is about her life and topics which a lot of people don't like to talk about. Ella has given me great ideas for how to be more organized and lead a healthier lifestyle.

5. Donte Jackson shows fans his collection of pop figures, cards, games and other things on his channel and posts vlogs from his travels and events.

6. Whenever I need a laugh, I search for "Funny and strange" talent show auditions. There are so many compilations of hilarious, strange, wrong and amazing auditions for shows like Got Talent and The X Factor. Seriously, I could sit down for hours and watch these!

7. Former Dance Moms star Jessalyn Siwa, who is JoJo's mother, recently started a podcast called Success with Jess which I have been listening to on Spotify and there are videos of the episodes on her YouTube Channel. She interviews former co-stars from the show including Kalani Hilliker and JoJo is in a few too. It looks and sounds like so much fun!

8. The videos on this channel are absolutely amazing! I found it while scrolling through YouTube one day two years ago and I actually sent the creator a message to compliment his work. Sadly, he passed away in 2018. I'm sure he would have had a successful career as a videographer if that is what he wanted. *I'm not sure if it is ok to include this channel here and may remove it which I will if I am told to.

Welcome back Justice Crew!

Photo credit to @Justicecrewofficial Instagram Justice Crew are a dance and music group who won Australia's Got Talent in 2010 and went on to release many amazing songs including number one hits Boom Boom and Que Sera . After their tour in 2019, they took a long break and now they are back!  I have been a huge fan of them since the beginning and have been to a lot of their shows, so when they announced they were performing a show in February, of course I was excited and attended with my friend. There was a huge crowd there to see them, which surprised a few people, including maybe the guys themselves. After six years, they probably felt rusty, but they were actually amazing as always. It was so cool to see them on stage again and here all the hit songs the number ones and  Everybody. It's so crazy how even now, after six year...

Light in the Darkness

We all carry a little darkness. Moments we don’t speak of. Storms We face. Shadows we walk through quietly.   But that doesn’t mean our light is gone.   Even on heavy days, when it feels like someone has punched us in the chest, or everything feels hopeless. We work. We care. We laugh. We create. We shine, like the brightest star in the sky.   No matter what happens today – even if it’s messy, or lonely, or full of tears - The sun will rise in the morning. Like it always does. Like we always do.   Because light doesn’t have to shout. Sometimes it just keeps showing up, quietly. One bright beam at a time.

Virtual Stop #1: Lymington - A Seaside Gem Discovered by Chance

Welcome to my virtual travel series, where I explore beautiful corners of the world without leaving my bed. Inspired by TikTok livestreamers and walking tour videos, these posts capture what I see, feel and learn as I journey through new places from afar.  I wasn't planning to visit Lymington - not virtually, not in any way. I had never heard of it before watching my favorite singing buskers livestream from the quaint little town in the UK and now I'm captivated. The charm of Lymington unfolded before my eyes: Cobbled pathways, rows of boats bobbing gently at the marina and friendly locals to stop and enjoy the music. I experienced it from my bed.  There is something so welcoming about the town, The people passing by weren't just polite - they were supportive. Some clapped, others left kind words or a few coins, and a few even stayed for songs. There are three ladies who go often to support the guys. They have all been following them on TikTok for a while and met each other...
