Hello! Now is the time to read all those books you have sitting on the bookshelf. Reading is a great way to forget about the pandemic for a while, take a break from the news and your busy lives and learn something new. Here, I am sharing a few books I have enjoyed reading. Seriously...Im Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres - Ellen gives advice on many things including how to be positive, more social and be kind to other people in her funny way. Some people may find that it drags on but I love its light-hearted nature and humor. Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella - This book follows the main character, Audrey, as she battles and overcomes her anxiety-disorder with the help of her family and a new friend, who helps her slowly leave her house again. It is also a story of young love. Bachelor Nation by Amy Kaufman - Readers learn what happens behind-the-scenes of The Bachelor, a very popular reality dating show. Past contestants of the show talk about their experience and how it is edit...

Hello everyone! It is International Dance day so in this post I am sharing some of my favorite dance videos from YouTube. The Crazy 8s on World of Dance . All their performances were amazing but Peanut Butter Jelly was my favorite. They are very talented young girls! Street dance crew,Diversity, won Britain's Got Talent in 2009. They performed at the grand final of BGT 2019 to celebrate ten years. One of my favorite shows was Dance Moms . Here is the final dance fom Season 7.  All the girls on the show are successful and big stars now. This dance choreographed by Ali Clough and featuring Chloe Lukasiak is so beautiful. I love the message of the song. . Kyndall Harris is a dancer in America.  She has danced with Janet Jackson on two of her tours. An emotional dance by Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough on Season 21 of  Dancing With The Stars US. This dance in tribute of her late father, Steve, earned them t...

Celebrate in Quarantine

Image
With the Coronavirus Pandemic, we are all in isolation and only allowed out for essential services which means a lot of us will be celebrating our birthdays and other special occasions in Quarantine. I'm sure you might be feeling upset about not being able to see your family and friends, go out for meals and have parties. It's ok to feel that way, it's natural but there are other ways you can still celebrate birthdays at home. Here, I am sharing a few ideas. These are things you can do on your own birthday and things you can do for your family and friends birthdays. Drive-by birthday parties - This involves driving past the person's home and wishing them happy birthday. People can make signs, throw decorations and gifts onto the person's front yard (As long as the're not breakable of course) or safely drop them on the doorstep. This is becoming a common practice, with videos regularly appearing on social media. Before you do this, make sure to check t...

Things to do in Quarantine

Image
We have all been forced to stay home and isolate because of the Corona-virus and, when you're not working and doing school online, you might be feeling bored and not sure what to do with yourself so in this post, I am sharing some ideas to keep you occupied during this crazy time. Watch TV or Netflix - Binge watch your favourite TV show and have movie marathons. There may be re-runs of old shows you loved or you may find a new show or documentary that interests you. Clean and declutter your house and room - You do this anyway but now you have more time to deep clean and get rid of unwanted things. If you're going to be stuck in there for months, it's good to have a neat and tidy space. Organize your work space  - Clean up the desk your using for work and organize it in a way you can easily access everything you need such as your computer, stationery, books and papers.  Shop - Browse the websites of your favourite stores and save anything you would like to p...

People and the Coronavirus Pandemic

Image
What a crazy time we are living in right now! The coronavirus pandemic has affected everyone in some way - Some are working from home or not able to work at all, doing school work online, going grocery shopping only to find empty shelves and limited stock of the items they need and unable to get medication and go about their daily lives. So many industries are suffering due to events being cancelled. Artists, performers, producers, managers and people in the music and entertainment industry are suffering due to cancelled or postponed concerts and the beauty and tourism industries are losing business. Whatever the situation, this has changed all of our lives. The global health crisis has brought out the worst in people. When we watch the news and go on social media everyday, we see videos of people arguing and even physically fighting in supermarkets over basic times like toilet paper and photos of the elderly facing empty shelves, struggling to find the essentials. Those photos are ...

I Love Me

Image
Last week, Demi Lovato released a new single called I Love Me  and in this post, I am going to share my thoughts on the song and music video, which came out on the same day. Demi is one of my favourite artists. She is a very talented singer and actress and I feel that she is a great role model for young girls. She's been through a lot in her life - She started her entertainment career in 2002 and has been acting, singing and appearing on TV ever since, was bullied at school due to her acting, has suffered from depression, an eating disorder and self-harm and took drugs. With all her personal struggles, she has managed to have a successful career. I love that she is so open and honest about what she has been through. Not many people like to discuss those issues, especially in the media, but she does and I'm sure it helps a lot of people who may be in the same situation. 'I Love Me' is a self-love anthem which talks about struggles with self-image. Lyrics such as...
