Review: Only By Chris Lanzon

Hello! Today's post is going to be a short review of Chris Lanzon's cover of 'Only' by RY X, an Australian singer-songwriter, For anyone who doesn't know who Chris Lanzon is, he was a member of the band In Stereo who split up this year to focus on their own goals and careers. Chris uploaded this cover on YouTube last Friday. Screenshot from the video The video starts with his name and the title of the song and cuts to a close up of his hands playing the piano and then strumming the guitar. As Chris plays the first few notes, you are drawn in slowly. For the first minute, all we hear is the guitar. I normally don't like long introductions in songs but the images are just so beautiful, I didn't mind it this time. When he finally started singing, I literally said, "Wow!" He sounds angelic and as far as I can tell, he hits all the notes perfectly. The darkness in the room adds a mysterious, intimate feel. Throughout the video we see foot...

The Voice Australia 2018

Hello! Well, The Voice is over for another year. The grand finale on Sunday night was both nerve-wracking and exciting and the top four sang their hearts out for votes. At the end of the night Sam Perry was announced as the winner. To be honest, I was very surprised that he won but he deserved it. In this post, I'm going to take a look back on this season's performances and share my favourites in each round, in no particular order. The Knockouts Sally Skelton - Skyscraper This was a beautiful performance. Sally has a strong voice and I think she sounded just as good as the original artist Demi Lovato.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9ej8Htlg_c&list=PLizqsTy3Q-HKX-TpJVgs-Z-53zhTfzRB1&index=23 Trent Bell - I See Fire  I absolutely loved this performance by Trent. I have been a fan of him since his days in the band The Collective and have been lucky to see him live a few times. He sings with so much passion and you can tell how much he loves music and wa...

Darling Brando Photo: Girlfriend magazine  In this post, I am going to tell you a little about each of the members. To be honest, I don't know too much about these guys as I am a new fan so I'm telling you the few facts I do know. Alex Mather - Alex is a singer and songwriter. He started singing when he was nine and plays the guitar, drums and piano. He has performed with Vlado and at Teen Vibes in 2017. His ultimate goal is to play at Madison Square Garden. That would be very cool! Alex Mather Photo: Star Now   Dylan Cartwright - He began his solo career in 2014 and made waves with his first two singles and after touring around Australia, he took a short break from music in 2016. He released the first song from his new EP, 'Requiem' in February this year. The song is amazing! Dylan's ul...

FaceTune - An Instagram Repost

Hello! We are are always on our phones, surfing the internet and scrolling through social media, and often we see something that catches our eye, sparks our interest and gets us thinking. I'm going to share with you one of these posts which I saw a few days ago while scrolling through Instagram. @bopo.love: Today I want to talk about: FaceTune. You ever see someone’s picture on Instagram with flawless skin and think “why can’t I have skin like that?” Nobody has skin like that. In the last three or so months, my skin has gone to absolute shit! I’m in the process of finding out if it’s an allergy thing, a hormonal thing, or just my skin losing its crap, but it’s been really, really getting me down! And every time I see an Instagram model or MUA’s face, I can’t help but feel really self conscious and upset that my skin just isn’t doing what it’s supposed to. But you wanna know something? No one’s skin is “perfect”!  I downloaded FaceTune and was able to edit this picture i...
