New Year's Eve Playlist

Hello!

There are only two more days left of 2019! Can you believe it? I'm sure you all are getting ready to ring in the new year with your loved ones. No matter what your plans are, I'm sure music will be a part of it and, in this post, I'm going to share a list of songs which are perfect for parties.

Best Night and Everybody - Justice Crew
Those who know me well know that I am a huge fan of Justice Crew and won't be surprised tha they are included here. I have only mentioned Best Night and Everybody but any of their songs would be perfect to play. They are all guaranteed to get you up dancing. Let the good times flow!

All About House - Wippy Lion
Wippy Lion is a Sydney-based DJ who has awesome music out on Spotify, Soundcloud and YouTube. He plays at events and has produced music for artists. I love all his remixes but All About House is my favourite. Check him out everyone, and add some of his tunesto your playlists. I'm sure you will love him!

Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough - Michael Jackson
This is a single written and performed by Michael Jackson. It was released by Epic Records in 1979 and is the first track on his fifth album Off the Wall. It was Michael's second single to hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Best Life - Cardi B featuring Chance the Rapper
Turn on this song and enjoy the night with your friends and family, celebrating all you have achieved this year and live your best life!

Thank U, Next - Ariana Grande
Whether or not 2019 was a great year for you, I'm sure we are all thankful that we lived another year and ready to see what 2020 has in store for us.

Dancing Queen - Abba
This is a song all parents and maybe even grandparents would love. Dancing Queen was released by the Swedish group ABBA in 1976. Ir is the lead single from their fourth album Arrival. If you love music from the 70's this is perfect!

Countdown - Beyonce
Of course this needs to be played on New Year's Eve! I would jam to this track by Queen Bey just before midnight!

Bye, Bye, Bye - *NSYNC
90's kids, this one's for you! One of our favorite boy-bands needs to make an appearance at this celebration! Maybe try out their iconic choreography on the dance floor.

Raise Your Glass - P!ink
Raise your glass and say cheers to 2019, get ready for what's next

The Edge of Glory - Lady Gaga
Trying to tell your crush you don't just want your association with them to end after NYE? Play this song.\

We Found Love - Rihanna feauting Calvin Harris
For anyone who found love in 2019, whether you got into a relationship with a boyfriend or girlfriend, started life together as husband and wife or brought a new little one into the world, this is a must.

Sucker - Jonas Brothers
The Jonas Brothers reunion and release of Sucker was the best thing to happen in 2019 for their fans so of course this is on the list!

Got Me Singing - Jaafar Jackson
Jaafar Jackson is the nephew of Michael Jackson and son of Jermaine Jackson. He released his debut single Got Me Singing this year and it has been very well received.

These are just a few of my favourites.

I hope every single one of you have a wonderful new year's eve and will you all the best for 2020!

V xoxo

Virtual Stop #1: Lymington - A Seaside Gem Discovered by Chance

Welcome to my virtual travel series, where I explore beautiful corners of the world without leaving my bed. Inspired by TikTok livestreamers and walking tour videos, these posts capture what I see, feel and learn as I journey through new places from afar.  I wasn't planning to visit Lymington - not virtually, not in any way. I had never heard of it before watching my favorite singing buskers livestream from the quaint little town in the UK and now I'm captivated. The charm of Lymington unfolded before my eyes: Cobbled pathways, rows of boats bobbing gently at the marina and friendly locals to stop and enjoy the music. I experienced it from my bed.  There is something so welcoming about the town, The people passing by weren't just polite - they were supportive. Some clapped, others left kind words or a few coins, and a few even stayed for songs. There are three ladies who go often to support the guys. They have all been following them on TikTok for a while and met each other...

The Prove It Game

The public opinions on Meghan Markle, or Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, are divided. Some love her and most seem to hate her. I admire her in some ways. I just watched an interview she did with podcast host Jamie Kern Lima and something she said resonated with me.  Image from Jamie Kern Lima YouTube.  Here it is: "We spend so much of our lives trying to prove something. You have to prove that you're enough, you have to prove that you're pretty enough, you have to prove that you're smart enough, you have to prove that you're a good wife or a good friend, and I am just so done with the prove it game. When you get to the place where you feel like I don't have to prove anything to you anymore. I don't have to prove that I'm a good person, I don't have to prove that I'm a good wife or mum or friend, I don't have to prove that I work hard. It can be really freeing when you stop playing the prove it game." - Meghan Markle. I completely agree with...

Social Media Ban

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has said that the Australian Government will enact laws to ban children under 16 years of age from social media and here I am sharing my thoughts on this.  Image from The Chapel Hairdressers - Horsham Facebook page  There are many benefits of social media. We can share photos and videos with our families and friends to keep them updated on our lives, instantly communicate with them, have a record of special memories, businesses can promote their products and services, connect with people professionally and do so much more. So many people are working on social media full time as influencers, working with brands and creating content online  and some have even married people they met online.  Social media can also be used as a weapon.   Preteens and teenagers go through puberty, stress about getting good grades at school, do their best to live up to their parents expectations, have many things they are worried about and just wan...
