Sixteen Sticks

One day while scrolling through Twitter, I saw a few people tweeting about a song called "Sixteen Sticks" by Greg Rider. I had never heard of him before and was curious so after listening to the song on YouTube, I searched him up on the internet. In this post, I am sharing a few facts about him and the beautiful song.   Greg Rider is from Toronto, Canada. Greg started pursuing music in his 20's. He started by busking on street corners and performing in bars. How to get people to read

Hello! I have always loved books and I think reading is the easiest way to learn and discover new worlds, especially for children. Everyone is always on their phones and computers and looking at a screen all the time is not good. I think it's sad when people say they dislike reading, they're missing out on something that could bring so much happiness into our lives. In this post, I am sharing a few ways you can encourage reading habits and teach children to read at home. These tips are for all ages.  Image from wired.com !. Read to your children before they are born. This probably sounds strange, but letting our baby hear your voice is special.  2. Gift books. For birthdays, Christmases and other celebrations, give family and friends books as a gift. The book could be about something they enjoy, are interested in and teaches them life lessons.  3.Take trips to the library. Go to your local library and choose books to take home and read for the week. If you don't want to ...

Work from home tips

Thanks to COVID, we are getting used to doing school and working from home. We love not having to wake up too early, not having to commute to school or to the office and being able to stay in our pyjamas all day, right? But there are a lot of things and people that can distract us, and before we know it, the hours can slip away quickly and we realize we haven't done much or made the best use of our time.  In this post, I am sharing with you a few tips for having a productive day at home.  Image from Pinterest Have a designated space to work or study Keep your work space and relaxing space separate so that the two thoughts don't mix and be sure that you like your work space. Set it up in away that provides comfort because you will be sitting there for 8 hours or more so add a cushion or something to support your back. Remember, it's important to have good posture. If the space is visually appealing, you will enjoy coming to work there so add cute little ornaments, photos of ...
