The Jacksons in Sydney

Hello! The legendary Jacksons hit Australian shores earlier this month for the Sydney Summer Series, a concert held at the Domain featuring some of the worlds biggest acts, including Sounds of the Supremes, Sister Sledge, Village People, The Pointer Sisters and Kool & the Gang. I am a huge fan of the Jacksons and have dreamed of seeing them perform live one day so I am extremely happy I was able to do that. The last time the group were in Australia was back in 2013 for their reunion show, the Unity Tour. They are not here often so I'm sure a lot of other fans were eager to see them like I was. Photo: @sydneysummerseries Instagram The thousands of people gathered in the Domain braved the heat and enjoyed watching incredible bands from all genres and decades and dancing along to mega hits such as We Are Family by Sister Sledge and YMCA by The Village People. During the half hour break between Kool & the Gang and The Jacksons, the last act, ev...

Review: Circles by Yours Truly

Hello, Looking for a new song to add to your summer playlist? Well, look no further than Yours Truly's latest single, 'Circles'. The Sydney based pop-punk band have just released it and let me tell you, it's guaranteed to make you want to get up and dance. Photo: @yourstruly_band Instagram The music video is amazing too and here I am going to do a little review of it. It begins with the instruments and microphone being set up and lights turning on so you feel like you are waiting to watch a concert. We then see a close-up of lead vocalist Mikaila as she starts singing and the other members - Lachlan, Teddie and Bradley rocking out on the guitars and drums. They are each standing in front of lights and different coloured backgrounds which I think suit this season. I love that their outfits are colour-coordinated and Mikaila's make-up is perfect, she looks beautiful no matter what! The scenes cuts to full shots of each member individually, then ...

Becoming - Michelle Obama

Hello! Ever since I head that former first lady of the United States Michelle Obama was writing a book, I have been waiting to get my hands on a copy and I did on Christmas day. I started reading Becoming and it was so good, I finished it in five days. Here, I am going to share my thoughts on the book but First, let me tell you what it's about. Becoming is an autobiography in which Michelle Obama tells readers about her life in a deeply honest and heart-warming way. She talks about her childhood and growing up as Michelle Robinson in a small apartment in Chicago with her parents and brother, her education, meeting Barack Obama for the first time and marrying him, juggling her demands at work and as a mother to two daughters and being the US first lady. Now I'll start with the cover. I love how simple it is. Just the title and her name in white capital letters and a beautiful photo of Michelle dressed in white and looking so happy against a light...
